This week started with a magical lunch at Borde Hill Gardens near Haywards Heath the restaurant, Isca, is quite honestly one of the most extraordinary places I have eaten in Sussex. I went pretty and pink, met two lovely friends, and left very happy, if slightly abruptly, because I had a Zoom meeting to get back to.

Saturday was supposed to be Coco's eventing competition in Oxfordshire. We got Fifi out, walked her around, and then British Eventing put out a statement: an incident, the day cancelled. The eventing community is something very special and it was heartbreaking. But Sarah was waiting with sparkly tats and strict instructions - so I put on my Victoria Beckham dress and my completely outrageous 15-year-old wedges, and we went to Ibiza Night at Cowdray. We danced. We talked. It was entirely the right call. Nothing like spending time with good friends.

Sunday: the Cowdray Polo Gold Cup Final - proper family day, hamper from the farm shop, the prettiest floral dress. The Diamond Store UK very kindly loaned me a matching ring, necklace, and bracelet to wear alongside my gifted Eden collection earrings for the occasion. Just beautiful. A huge thank you to them.

The rest of the week: filming Tuesday's pizza how-to (go and watch that if you haven't , a meeting with a coach about health and feeling my best, sweet potato fries in the new Ninja dual air fryer at a supper with friends, and a power cut that turned out to be the making of the day. I lay on my bed for half an hour listening to my audio book and it was bliss. The laundry room has also had a little glow up, an old shelf from the barn, repositioned, and suddenly a space that's been driving me mad for two years actually works.
