A Valentine’s Dinner for Anyone - Scallops, Herb-Crusted Trout & Hollandaise (Part One)
This week’s Ask Charlie is a Valentine’s special, but not just for couples. This is about cooking something lovely, whether that’s for someone you love or simply for yourself. I’m sharing part one of a two-part Valentine’s dinner that’s calm, unfussy and a little bit special.
We start with scallops and a fresh lemon and coriander slaw - light, zingy and very easy - followed by herb-crusted trout with new potatoes, green beans and a proper homemade hollandaise. These are recipes you can come back to all year round, not just for Valentine’s Day.
