Busy House, Happy Home podcast introduction
This week, I am utterly thrilled to welcome you to my new podcast ‘Busy House, Happy Home’!
I’m so excited to be sharing this with you. It’s been sitting in my mind for a really long time, three years in fact. Two years ago I decided it was absolutely something I wanted to create, and it’s taken me that long to work up the confidence to do it.
I know that might sound silly considering I show up consistently on social media and create my weekly YouTubes, but it really has taken me a while to get my head around the whole thing!
My children don’t use the playroom as much anymore, so it has become the ’Busy House, Happy Home’ hub. It’s a really great place for me to walk into, shut the door and record the podcast with a clear head and minimal distractions. It’s also where I keep a lot of what inspires me, from Mum’s old handwritten recipe books to family drawings and more.
Now obviously I have my YouTube channel, Instagram and blogs, but I love listening to podcasts. I adore effortlessly listening to people chat away and discovering how many subjects resonate, and that we share common ground.
I get lots of questions from you guys asking “Charlie, how do you do this? Charlie? How do you do that?” so I thought the podcast could be an extension of that Ask Charlie element.
I am striving to have a happy home, I think we all are. So I’m encouraging you to join in with this podcast and really get involved. Ask me questions you’d like featured so I can discuss those subjects!
I've also got a lovely mix of experts lined up to feature too, so they can impart their own wisdom, experience and suggestions to the Ask Charlie audience.
The name for this podcast came via a wonderful friend, Kate. I asked Instagram and had so many amazing ideas, then Kate sewed the seed for the name. I don't want it to be about having a ‘perfect’ home because that's not relatable!
Life is not easy at all, but if we've got the right attitude and the right support around us, it can be a happier place. Through the podcast, I have some wonderful, wonderful people talking to me about how to achieve your happier home and adopt some helpful habits, ways of thinking and really helpful tools.

The launch has tied in really well with the release of my new website, which I’ve worked so hard to design to be a place where everything Ask Charlie can live in one spot together.
