Fashion Confidence & Finding Your Style: Chat with Stylist Charlie Elmy-Britton

I had my dear friend Charlie round for cuppa and thought you'd love to meet her. We've been friends for years - she had a boutique in Petworth when my children were tiny, and now she's a brilliant personal stylist helping women find their confidence through clothes.

We had the most wonderful in-depth chat around the kitchen table about style, confidence, and how clothes can completely transform how you feel. Charlie shared some brilliant advice about finding your personal style using three key words that define how you want to be perceived - mine are cosy, approachable, and elegant.

The conversation covered everything from wardrobe staples for autumn/winter to navigating the skinny jeans debate, plus plenty of your questions from Instagram. Charlie's approach isn't about following every trend - it's about understanding what works for your lifestyle and body, and building confidence from the inside out.

Her tip about thinking of jewellery as punctuation really stuck with me - big earrings as exclamation marks, delicate pieces as commas. It's those little details that can completely change how an outfit feels, especially when transitioning from day to evening.

I loved chatting about how life changes affect our style, particularly after having children or during major transitions. Sometimes you need to fake it till you make it, and the right outfit can give you that confidence boost to tackle whatever life throws at you!

I hope you'll join us.

Love, Charlie x
