London Events, First Pizzas & Clay Shooting | A Busy Summer Week in the Life

The pizza oven went in this weekend. Simon actually picked up a saw, the frame was built, and by Sunday evening we were standing in the rose garden watching the first pizza cook in the flame. It was absolutely worth every minute of the wait.

It's been one of those weeks where every day holds something different. A flower arranging lunch with Quorn Stone at the Greenhouse in central London, Annika Purdey’s Ladies day clay shoot in the wet! A Friday night cricket barbecue, and then two full days up in London on Tuesday: Smock London on the Kings Road, Lucy Simmons's jewellery popup in Battersea, a quick car change with a doorman standing just over there, and the Aspiga 20th birthday celebration at the Sloane Club.

In between all of that, some quieter moments, morning walks with the dogs, a long to-do list, early workouts with Leigh, Coco sitting her GCSEs, and a genuinely moving talk from the Country Food Trust about food poverty and the work they do across the country.

And there's a little thought I had on my morning walk about events, networking, and those moments when you just want to slip away quietly, if that ever sounds familiar, I hope it's useful.

If you're feeling nervous about something, or standing on the edge of a new challenge, I hope this week's vlog feels like gentle encouragement to trust yourself and give it a go.

Thank you so much for being here.

With Love
