My Runuary journey has come to an end! Thank you for all the support!

As I filmed the video you will see below, I was warming myself up in front of the aga after a -5 run!

I have successfully completed Runuary! 5km every single day of January, raising money for the fantastic Sussex Snowdrop Trust. You can read more about why I chose to support this wonderful chairty in my first blog post regarding Runuary here.

The whole experience has been amazing. Very tough, but so incredibly rewarding.

The very first week was a real challenge after not having run for around 6 months. But I pushed through.

Day 18 I hit a wall - I was super tired and it really did take a lot of effort to get up and go, but now I have really gotten into the swing of it!

I've listened to some great podcasts along the way, and just taken some time for me.

Doing it for charity really does make you so determined. You don’t want to let yourself or anybody else down, or your charity down. Running for the support of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust just gave me the encouragement and determination to do it, every single day.

I tended to complete my run first thing in the morning. I would have my matcha and just hit the road. I have enjoyed so many different routes (I won't be forgetting those Devon hills in a hurry!) and seen plenty of snowdrops!

I did have to stop a few times to take stock of the beauty around me and get some little photos in, but that's okay! It's all about appreciating the run!

And now I have done it! I'm off to a book launch tonight for a title named Outrunning your Demons - which is so very apt! Running and exercise have completely changed my life for the better - it is so good for the soul and the headspace it gives you is wonderful - so it is a very appropriate end to the journey.

Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement along the way.
