Stress-Free Holidays: My Guide to a Thoughtful and Organised Christmas

For this week’s How-To, I take a break from cooking to have a candid conversation about the festive season and acknowledge that, despite the festive cheer, it can be a challenging time for many.

I emphasise the importance of setting a budget to avoid unnecessary strain. Christmas is not about overspending; it's about thoughtful giving (not necessarily material objects!) and spending time with the people you hold dear, reaching out, cherishing what you have, and being mindful of those who may be as fortunate.

I also talk a little about my Christmas Recipe Planner, filled with favourite recipes, tips, and ideas for preparing in advance and my Christmas and New Year Planner, designed to streamline the chaos of holiday preparations with sections for budgeting, menu planning, and guest lists spanning five years. Both are helpful tools to stay organised and stress-free in the run-up and on the day, so you can relax and spend more time with those you love.

My message is clear: focus on the joy of spending time with loved ones, engaging in activities that bring genuine happiness, and relieving yourself of unnecessary pressure. It's okay to say no and prioritise your well-being.

Join me in making this Christmas season meaningful and stress-free and until then, stay tuned for more Vlogmas updates!

Love, Charlie x
