A Fresh Cut, End of Summer Party & Food for Thought (Why I Try To Cook From Scratch)

It’s been a busy, slightly chaotic week here, and I’ve got lots to catch you up on! From a brand-new haircut to throwing a barn party for 65 teenagers, there’s been plenty going on alongside the usual dogs, horses and home life.

I finally took the plunge and went short — proper shape, movement and a new routine to tame the cowlick! After the salon, I nipped round Petworth for a birthday present, then it was straight into mum mode: dog walks, stable runs and helping Coco prepare the barn for her “End of Summer” party. The weather was dreadful, but the giant tarp screen, straw bales and a late-night bacon-roll operation saved the day.

In between, I filmed a new recipe and had a mini home manicure. I’m also listening to Ultra-Processed Women, which has me doubling down on cooking from scratch and the simple habits that keep us well. Next up this week, a charity clay-pigeon day with Simon (raising money for Great Ormond Street) and then Burghley, I can’t wait.
