A Proper Ask Charlie Christmas Gammon Feast (Make-Ahead, Stress-Free Hosting)
This week, I’m in the kitchen cooking a full Christmas gammon feast from start to finish. I talk you through how I prep and cook gammon properly so it’s full of flavour but never salty, why I always start the night before, and how I make everything ahead to keep the day itself calm.
I show you my go-to Christmas alternatives to turkey - gammon with a mustard and clove glaze, proper dauphinoise, slow-cooked red cabbage and a classic Cumberland sauce. It’s the sort of meal I love doing the weekend before Christmas or for Boxing Day, and it feeds a lot of people without stress.
