Ski trip chaos to calm: Packing panic, Christmas bits, then fresh powder in Italy!

It's been one of those busy but good weeks, the kind where there’s a lot going on but it all feels worth it!

I was juggling laundry, last-minute packing and a pre-trip lunch, while quietly hoping six people’s ski kit would somehow fit into one car. There were school runs, a post office dash, gammons to roast and a long mental to-do list ticking away in the background. In between it all, I managed a quick walk with the dogs to forage greenery for a simple Christmas table centrepiece, and squeezed in a very necessary real tree run so we didn’t come home to a tree-less Christmas.

Then we headed off to Italy with a big family group, straight into ski hire, a refresher lesson to get my ski legs back, and Gus deciding he was officially a snowboarder now - he's picked it up so quickly. The real highlight was waking up to fresh snowfall, with the slopes turning into a proper winter wonderland and some wonderfully quiet runs later in the day.

I also shared what I actually packed and wore for skiing, the little essentials I always keep with me, and a few outfit bits for relaxed dinners out in the evenings.

I do hope you'll join me on the slopes,

Love, Charlie x
