British Summer Days | Ascot, Goodwood & Life Behind the Scenes – Part 2

This week has been one of those wonderfully full weeks where family life, work and a little bit of summer magic all seem to collide.

It begins with an early morning at the horses, some precious mother-daughter time with Coco after her GCSEs, a little sewing, plenty of ironing, and preparations for some very special events. There are trips to London, a visit to the Chelsea Art Society exhibition, exciting meetings about future plans and products, and a truly inspiring afternoon surrounded by flowers at beautiful Strawberry Hill House.

Then comes Ascot. A glorious day spent with dear friends, beautiful outfits, delicious food and all the wonderful atmosphere that makes Ladies' Day such a special occasion. We also head to Goodwood for the evening races, where family, friends and a surprisingly lively dance floor make for a night to remember.

Along the way, I share little glimpses of home life too: feeding the dogs, pottering around the house, spending time with Simon and the children, preparing for a wedding at home, and reflecting on how important it is to pause and enjoy these busy seasons while we're in them.

If you're feeling a little stretched by a busy season of life, I hope this feels like gentle company and a reminder that even the fullest weeks are often made up of the simplest moments.

With Love
