I wasn't expecting to spend Saturday evening on the side of a main road with the fire brigade and the police for company. The lorry broke down on the way home from the event, 20 minutes from home, and we waited there until 9:15pm. But that's the end of the story - let me start from the beginning.

This week opens in Marylebone, on a wonderful day exploring the Village with some lovely girls, sustainable fashion at Platform where the designers are actually in the store meeting their customers, the most incredible deli at Bailey & Sage, the best chocolate at Rococo, a beautiful lunch at Blandford Comptoir, and ending at Oh My Cream. I also stopped into John Bell & Croydon (Simon’s favourite)

The outdoor kitchen is beginning to look exactly as I dreamed it. Nigel has been here, the scaffolding plank worktop is up, the brackets are beautiful, the butler sink from the reclamation yard is in. And on Sunday, Quentin and I blitzed the barn and cellar while Simon was up in Scotland with Gus. Big plans for that space too, and a rather honest conversation about content creation, brand partnerships and the choices we make when building a business.

Somewhere in all of it: Coco competed with Fifi, had a brilliant cross country round, and then finished the week sitting her last ever GCSE. And the Ask Charlie Homes restock and the Aprons sold out in under 90 minutes, there are oven glove and Gauntlets still available.
