Christmas With Ask Charlie, Decorating for an English Christmas

In this first episode of Christmas With Ask Charlie, I take you with me for a London evening at Ridley, where my friend Charlie is talking all things style, and I squeeze in a quick car-change on a Chelsea side street before walking through the Christmas lights to the event.

Back home, it is straight into book mode: a day at my fulfilment company, signing the first 100 pre-orders and Members Club copies of Through The Seasons, sorting pens, boxes and lists, and I share with you the December dates where I will be signing at White Coco and the Chelsea Christmas fair. It still feels surreal seeing all the books in one place!

The rest of the vlog is very much home-life and Christmas: Simon’s confirmation at Chichester Cathedral, a solo sourdough pizza, dashing to Petworth for a tree and bits from Austen’s and Maggie & Belle, walking the dogs in the rain, cooking a lunch for 25, baking mince pies and starting the decorating.

The brilliant Nigel helps tame the tree and fix a few long-overdue jobs while I dress the fireplaces, make a foraged wreath and begin to get the snug and drawing room ready for an exciting newspaper photoshoot. In between, I unbox a beautiful Lockett's frame, show you my new Isla Silver ring, and celebrate hitting 100k on TikTok!
