Come with us to Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Malibu Beach & Disneyland!

We began our adventure in Santa Monica by keeping it relaxed and getting our bearings. We spent time enjoying the surroundings and popping into famous places I'd heard about for years. We visited the legendary Shutters On The Beach, Coco and I shopped until we dropped in Sephora, and we strolled along Santa Monica Pier, where I braved a rollercoaster! It was terrifying, but I thought it would be good practice for what lay ahead in Disney…

We further explored Santa Monica and Los Angeles with Surf City Tours, who took us to see the iconic Hollywood sign, the Walk of Fame, the Farmers Market (my idea of heaven, as you can imagine!) and Rodeo Drive. Perfectly hosted, I hugely recommend them if you’re heading out there and are after an informative and well-organised trip.

The following day, we explored Malibu, went surfing, and enjoyed delicious meals at a local cafe. It was so good for the children to get back out onto the waves, and lovely for me to sit back for a bit and recharge before the glorious chaos ahead!

We were very sad to leave our hotel, Fairmont Miramar as it has been such a splendid base for our adventures. The gym facilities have allowed me to work out and stay active amidst all the incredible food we've been indulging in. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so many chips!

Heading to Disneyland, I wasn't sure what to expect as it’s never been on my ‘must-do’ list, but it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The rides, such as Space Mountain and the Incredicoaster were seriously exhilarating, and I think it’s fair to say I’ve absolutely conquered my fear of rollercoasters! I’ve definitely embraced the magic of the park and Disney.

After two exciting days at Disney, we are now embarking on a road trip towards Santa Barbara. The Pacific Coast Highway offers breathtaking views, and we are excited to visit my friend and relax. Bring on the recharging!

Our California adventure so far has been a perfect mix of relaxation, sightseeing, and thrilling experiences. Simon's planning has been so impressive, and I am looking forward to the rest of our journey as we explore more of this beautiful state. Stay tuned for more, and thank you so much for joining us so far!

Love, Charlie x
