Cozy Days, Big Changes & Watching It All Unfold
In this week’s vlog, I’m sharing a few very ordinary, very comforting days at home, alongside some rather big feelings bubbling away under the surface.
There’s spring cleaning, laundry mountains, audiobook listening, dog walks, sourdough, soup on the go, family life ticking along in the background, and those small, grounding moments that so often help steady us when life feels a little full.
I chat honestly about feeling apprehensive as the television show begins to air, and what it feels like to have kept something private for so long, only for it suddenly to be out in the world. It’s a strange thing, opening the door on a part of your life and knowing people will form opinions before the full story has unfolded. But at the heart of it all, I wanted to stay true to who I am, my values, and the life we’ve built here. How they edit it I have no control over.
Alongside that, there is the comfort of home carrying on as it always does. Simon cooking Sunday lunch, children coming and going, long walks with the dogs, workouts to keep me steady, horses to do, a photo shoot to prepare for, and some behind the scenes changes in how I’m running Ask Charlie. There’s a lot of learning at the moment, a lot of reshuffling, and a quiet sense that change, while uncomfortable at times, can also be very good.
There are also some lovely pockets of joy in this vlog too, Archie passing his driving test, thrilled for him, a trip to Crufts, an evening in London, and those first real signs that spring is beginning to stir. Birdsong, blue skies, lighter air, and that sense that a new season is slowly arriving.
