Half Term, Horse Trials & A Garden Full of Roses

Back from Scotland and straight into a very full, very hot few days of family life.

There’s Coco’s eventing, my slightly more confident lorry driving, plenty of mum-groom duties, dusty boots, cold showers and that lovely feeling of watching small improvements each time we go out. We also have a little half-term chaos, an unexpected A&E trip, laundry mountains, mum taxi moments and slowly starting to kit out the horse lorry for future adventures.

I take you with me to London for a couple of lovely work events, a little shopping, a pizza supper with the boys, and then back home again for pasta, peas and bacon, a few deliveries, and a much-needed potter around the garden.

The roses are looking completely beautiful at the moment, the sweet peas are finally in, the orchard is wild and full of life, and it all feels like that very particular early summer moment when everything is suddenly in bloom.

If you’re feeling in the middle of a busy family season too, I hope this feels like gentle company, a reminder that the ordinary, slightly chaotic days can still be full of lovely little moments.

With love Charlie x
