Simon and I Auditioned for Something. I Cannot Tell You What. There Were Biscuits.

The rest I can share quite freely.

We begin at the Country Brocante, where I had an Ask Charlie trade stand. We'd sold out of so many products that Will ended up making more with the fabric we had left. The hay fever I brought home from Cornbury wasn't ideal, but the people were wonderful.

I spent time with my dear Vanessa Rose, who shared years of trade stand wisdom, met the brilliant Arpit from Dilly House and found the most beautiful vintage Sanderson curtains for our outdoor kitchen.

On Sunday, Coco and Fifi competed at Farley Hall. They finished fifth after a better-than-expected dressage test, a lovely clear show jumping round and a confident cross-country. I was incredibly proud. I, on the other hand, walked the course rather too enthusiastically and spent the afternoon applying ibuprofen gel to my calf.

It's also been my birthday week, with lemon, courgette and pistachio cake, homemade meringues, pizza from the outdoor oven and a quiet morning in a beautiful new Brora blouse.

And finally, Let's Fly has arrived. There was a small delay, but the books are here and I'll be signing them on Monday. If you've pre-ordered, your copy will be on its way very soon.

The audition.

Biscuits.

That is all.

With love,

Charlie x
