A Quiet Weekend, A Big Win & Life Behind the Scenes
This week’s vlog is a gentle mix of everyday life and something rather extraordinary unfolding alongside it.
We begin at Hickstead, wrapped up against the cold, watching Coco as she prepares for upcoming competitions. There’s something so grounding about those moments, standing in the wind, layered up, watching your children grow in confidence and capability.
From there, the days unfold in that familiar rhythm of home life… muddy paddocks, bathing dogs, feeding horses, cooking in the kitchen, and squeezing in work wherever it fits. A Mother’s Day woven with church, family time, and a quiet sense of gratitude. And then Monday arrives, bringing with it meetings, filming, school runs, and the gentle juggle of it all.
Alongside all of this, the final episode of Handcuffed airs - something that has been a huge part of my life behind the scenes for so long. What you see on television is only ever a small piece of the full experience, and I share a little more here about the reality of it… the challenge, the exhaustion, the unexpected friendships, and the kindness of strangers that carried us through.
There are moments this week where things don’t quite go to plan, days that feel full, slightly chaotic, and a little overwhelming but also deeply real. And in between it all, there are small pockets of calm… a walk with the dogs, stitching by the fire, feeding the animals at dusk.
If you’re feeling stretched, busy, or like life is pulling you in many directions, I hope this feels like a reminder that it’s okay for life to be full and imperfect, and still be beautiful.
Love,
Charlie x
