Getting Ready for September | Simple Organisation & Back to School Tips
As summer begins to draw to a close, September starts to come into view, and with it comes that familiar feeling of getting everyone and everything back into a rhythm.
In this week’s Ask Charlie, I’m talking about getting organised for September, from gently bringing bedtime and morning routines forward, to preparing school shoes, sports kits and pencil cases before the last-minute rush begins.
I also share how Simon and I plan our weeks together, why I still love a paper diary, and how time blocking helps me stay focused when working from home. There’s something very reassuring about sitting down, looking at the week ahead and simply writing things down. It can make a busy family life feel that little bit more manageable.
We also have a look at some wonderfully practical brushes from the Oxford Brush Company (gifted) including a bottle brush, Velcro brush, shoe-care brushes and a spot-cleaning stick useful little things for keeping everyday life running smoothly.
If you’re feeling slightly overwhelmed by the thought of September, I hope this feels like a gentle reminder that you don’t have to do everything at once. A little preparation now can make those first few weeks feel much calmer.
With love
Charlie
