Goodwood with the Girls, Growing Ask Charlie Home & Greece at Last

I sat down with Simon and Will to talk figures, stock and fabric orders the night before getting dressed up for Ladies Day, and if I'm honest, the business chat was the more nerve-wracking of the two. This is one of those weeks where the glamorous bits and the genuinely daunting bits sit right next to each other, which is very on-brand for running a small business that's suddenly not so small anymore.

Day two at Goodwood meant Ladies Day with Camila, a gorgeous new print dress from her, and a borrowed jewellery set from The Diamond Store that I got to keep. Behind the scenes, I'd just placed a big order for Ask Charlie Home, my own fabric design confirmed and ready for Burley, five colourways, a six-week print lead time, and the very real fear of over-ordering or under-ordering on something brand new. I'll talk you through the thinking, the stock nerves, and why I'm easing in slowly rather than betting everything at once.

Then it was the final scramble before Greece, laundry, packing, a magical evening at Maze Maze with the boys, and a 4am alarm, before we finally landed and I got to actually switch off. Boats, water skiing, paddle, sunsets, and rather a lot of prawns.
