My Book Is Finally Here! Behind the Scenes of Pre-Orders, Printing & Pure Excitement

This week’s vlog is one I’ll never forget. It was the week Through the Seasons went on pre-order - and I can’t quite believe it. After months of work, late nights, and a few emotional wobbles, I finally took the leap into self-publishing. I delivered all my stock to the fulfilment company (a huge moment for the business) and showed them the “Charlie touch” for packing your orders. It feels strange handing that part over, but it’s going to mean faster service for you – and maybe a little more sleep for me!

The night before pre-orders went live, I had a glass of bubbles with Sigh to celebrate and a long chat with Theodore in America, who’s written the most beautiful words about the book. I also received the most moving testimonial from Laura Ann - it made me cry over my morning tea. The next day, when Tish and I finally pressed “go”, your response completely blew me away. I’m still lost for words at the love and support you’ve shown.

Amongst all that, I managed some proper family time. Sunday church, a roast at home, and even a bit of TV by the fire. I also shared a few gorgeous finds: a butterscotch cord dress, the softest leather gloves, my trusty Guinea London overcoat, and a beautiful blouse. There were thoughtful packages too from Mariana London, The Flat Lay Company, and Soap Poetry. I finished the week in London with Coco, a bit of shopping, and a wonderful evening at the Aspiga book-club event with Belles Berry and Mariella Frostrup – the perfect way to end such an extraordinary few days.

Thank you, truly, for every order, message, and kind word. It’s the biggest project I’ve ever taken on, and knowing you’re all behind me means the world.
